Obituary of Joan C. Greck

Joan C. Greck South Fallsburg, New York August 27, 1941-June 22, 2011 69 years old Joan (Coffina) Greck was a teacher of speech and hearing for 27 years in the Liberty School District. She loved teaching tremendously and enjoyed her students and colleagues. Joan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Alvin, daughters Jackie Ranney and her husband Jim from Southwick MA, and Stephanie and Jeff Saffir from Highland NY. Her grandchildren are Jill, Lucas, Randy and Dylan. Joan also leaves two sisters-in-law Janess Coffina and Ellen Komisarow, and her stepfather Frank Ferrara. There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am on Sunday June 26 at Glen Wild Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joan Greck Memorial Scholarship Fund For Liberty High School c/o Alvin Greck, PO Box 475 South Fallsburg NY 12779. The family will not be sitting shiva.
