Obituary of Leonard Joel Rifkin

Leonard J. Rifkin-"Lenny" Of Port Charlotte, Florida & Formerly of Goshen, NY January 14, 1942-July 6, 2012 70 years old Leonard Joel Rifkin, "Lenny" to all who knew and loved him, died at his home with his wife by his side on Friday, July 6, 2012. He was 70 years old. The son of Jack Rifkin and Gussie Shapiro Rifkin, Lenny was born on January 14, 1942 in the Bronx. He grew up on Long Island and met his loving wife of 38 years, Sharon Goldman Rifkin and married her on March 2, 1975. The couple then moved to Goshen, New York where they owned and operated the Antique Center of Orange County New York in Florida, NY. Lenny is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, of Port Charlotte, FL; his son Adam Roberts, and his wife Stephanie, of Washington DC; and his two grandchildren, Mia and Bella. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and avid poker player, he served on the Board of Directors for the All American Poker League. Graveside services for Lenny will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, NY at 11:00am. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home of Monticello.
