Marilyn and Family,
I have served on our condo board multiple years with Marilyn and Barry was our honorary board member. He took part in many events with us over the years. I loved “flirting” with Barry and pretending we had something to hide in front of Marilyn when I called him handsome and kissed him under the mistletoe. He always reminded me he had a daughter the same age as me. ;0)
I often saw Barry at the dumpster or walking back from the mailbox. After his illness last year, I always loved seeing him and Marilyn making the trek to the mailbox with his walker. No matter how difficult the challenge they both faced over the past year, they always shared a smile and warm greetings for us all. The love they had for each other was inspiring.
Just as you, his family, were so blessed to have Barry in your life, our little community in Lincoln, Rhode Island was fortunate to have him as our neighbor. He touched all our lives in his own special way. My heart will always hold a special place just for him and he will never be forgotten.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers and this most difficult time.
