Obituary of Eileen Saperstein
Eileen Saperstein, a long-time resident of Woodridge and Monticello, died on Friday, June 22, 2018 in Delray Beach, Florida following an illness.
Eileen was born in Brooklyn on January 31, 1943, the daughter of Zelda and Sol Weintraub. After spending many happy summers in the Catskills, she met and married Herb Saperstein of Woodridge and made the Mountains her home.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Gudowitz and her husband Martin, of Miami, Florida; Dale Gindi and her husband, Steven, of Port Washington, NY; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Burt Weintraub and Ila of Jackson, New Jersey, and Zach Weintraub and Cindy of Wellington, Florida; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; one sister and brother-in-law Rita and Joel Rosenshein of Delray Beach, Florida; her significant other, Joel Lerner of Delray Beach, Florida, his three children and seven grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 12:00PM at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701. Burial will immediately follow at the Workman Circle #281 Cemetery, Glen Wild, NY.
