Obituary of Linda G. Dworetzky

Linda Dworetzky, a long-time resident of Goshen, NY passed into rest on Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at the Fishkill Center for Rehab and Nursing in Beacon. She was 80 years old. The daughter of the late Phillip and Edith (Ginsberg) Goldstein, Linda was born on October 19, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY.

Linda received both a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics Education from SUNY Oneonta, and a Master’s of Science in Education from SUNY New Paltz, and proudly taught for the Clarkstown Central School District in Rockland County for many years.  She was very active in the Goshen community and served on the Goshen Democratic Committee, New York State United Teachers Association, CHAI Singles group, President, Founder, as well as a participant in the Cooperative Extension, and active in the local chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and Orange County Mental Health Association.

Survivors include her Daughters; Loren (Dworetzky) Gutman and her husband Gene Gutman,  Jill (Dworetzky) Lewis and Jason Lewis, one Son; David Dworetzky and his wife, Tracey Cassel-Dworetzky,  Sister; Shelley (Goldstein) Saffer and her husband Ethan Saffer, as well as her eight beautiful grandchildren;  Alexa, Evan, Matthew, Courtney, David Jr., Aiden, Tyler, and Daityn.

Linda was predeceased in death by her brother; Richard Goldstein

A graveside funeral service will take place on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery, 108 Spanktown Road in Warwick.
