I personally didn't know Gerald, but my family did. My father, Louis Hafele and my mother(who has passed away from colon cancer on January 23rd, 2016)Cecelia Hafele knew Gerald when he was in the Fur Industry in Lower Manhattan New York back in the 80's.
I was a teenager when he would call my family to visit. Sometimes I would answer the phone and he would talk to me briefly when my parents were not home as we lived on a cattle ranch in North Dakota.
My prayers are with the Itzkoff family. May Gerald Rest In Peace.
