Obituary of Martin Hoffman

Monticello, NY

Mr. Martin Hoffman, a resident of Monticello passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 91. The son of the late Harry and Fridel Grossman Hoffman, Martin was born on March 10, 1929 in Brooklyn.

Martin proudly served his country in the United States Army and later moved on to opening Hoffman’s Floors in Queens. In 1977 he and his wife Phyllis re-located to Monticello where Martin’s flooring business flourished. Hoffman Floors proudly served some of the biggest names in the hotel business of the Catksills.

Martin is survived by his beloved wife; Phyllis Hoffman, children; Alan Warren Hoffman and Jacqueline Hope Hoffman, as well as his grandchildren; Maxine and Jordan.

A private graveside funeral service will take place on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at the Sullivan County Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery with full military honors.
