Obituary of Allen Cooper

Allen Cooper Of Monticello, New York April 27, 1937-November 19, 2012 75 years old Allen Cooper, age 75, Of Monticello, died Monday November 19, 2012 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY after a long illness. He was born April 27, 1937 in Monticello, New York to William and Tillie (Goldsmith) Cooper. He grew up in Monticello and was a graduate of Monticello High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He attended Syracuse University for higher education. He started Cooper Paint Distributors in 1973 where he always greeted you with a smile and maybe a joke or two. He always gave back to his local community as his thank you for people who he served and loved. Allen is survived by his wife Sybil at home in Monticello, his two sons, Mitchell Cooper & wife, Doreen Cooper of Rock Hill, NY and Robert Cooper & wife Joann Cooper of Mongaup Valley, NY.; his two brothers, Gary & wife, Peggy Cooper, Larry & wife, Vivian Cooper of Mongaup Valley, and predeceased by Mort Cooper of Fremont, NE; sister, Bonnie Lloyd of Monterey, CA; aunt, Bobby Aurut of Sacramento, CA; 1 grandchild, Amanda Cooper of Mongaup Valley and many nephews and nieces. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at 11:00am at the Glen Wild Cemetery, Marsh Road, Glen Wild, New York.
