Obituary of Rose Schapiro

Woodland, CA - Formerly of Sullivan County, NY

Mrs. Rose Schapiro, a former Sullivan County resident for many years, passed away peacefully at her Woodland, CA home on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was 100 years old.

The daughter of Louis and Yetta Bogin, Rose was born in Manhattan on October 31, 1920. Rose was a life member of B’nai B’rith and a longtime member of Temple Sholom in Monticello.

Survivors include daughter Ina Biederman, son Larry Schapiro (Patty), grandchildren Kim Johnson, Lesley Bertl, Sean Biederman, Brian Schapiro, and Kelly Whitehead, nephew Howard Perlman (Helene), and niece Ellen Krull (Steve). Rose is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, Meyer (Max), her siblings, daughter Audrey, and grandson Keith.

A graveside service was held on June 9, 2021, at the Temple Sholom Synagogue Cemetery in Monticello.
