Obituary of Louis Steiglitz

Liberty, NY

Louis Steiglitz, a lifetime resident of Liberty, NY, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown.  He was 84 years old.

The son of the late Max and Bessie Steiglitz, Louis was born September 2, 1937.  After graduating Liberty High school, Louis went on to earn his Associate of Applied Science degree from Brooklyn College.  He served as a Tax Auditor for the New York State Department of Labor until his retirement.

An avid family man, Louis enjoyed spending time with his wife and children as well as his extended family.  He enjoyed the outdoors whether he played golf or building projects for home improvement. 

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Anne, of 54 years; son Menasheh and his wife, Avigayil of Jerusalem, Israel, and their children: Berachah, Tzvi, Malkah, Esther, Dov and Simchah; son Eric and his wife, Sharon of Santa Monica, CA, and their children: Matthew, Jeremy, Skyler and Jaden; and his son Barry, of Madison, WI.  Louis is also survived by his sisters Lillian Weinberg and Frieda Freidman, brother Gerald Steiglitz and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A graveside service will take place in the family plot at Floral Park Cemetery, 104 Deans Rhode Hall Rd, Monmouth Junction, NJ, on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 11:00am.
