Obituary of Stanley Rubin

Ellenville, NY

Stanley Martin Rubin, a resident of Ellenville, NY passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the New Paltz Center for Rehab and Nursing. He was 84. The son of the late Murray and Muriel Rubin, Stan was born on June 2, 1937 in Brooklyn.

Stan was a graduate of East New York Vocational High School, New York City Community College and SUNY New Paltz. He was the owner/operator of the Doll House North and Superclipper. He will be remembered as a very social, caring man who was always ready to help.

Stan’s many memberships in the community include: life member and past President of the Ellenville First Aid and Rescue Squad, Vice President of the Congregation Ezrath Israel, Ellenville Zoning Board, Hunt Memorial Preservation Committee Board (2000-2021), volunteer at the Shiloh Baptist Church Soup Kitchen, as well as chairman of the Congregation Ezrath Israel Cemetery from 2000 to present.

Survivors include his beloved wife; Phyllis, daughter; Lesa, son; Danyel, sister-in-law; Chickie Kaufman as well as many loving nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

A graveside service will take place on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at 12:00pm at the Congregation Ezrath Israel Cemetery, Route 209 in Wawarsing with Rabbi Moshe Frank officiating.

Memorial contributions in Stan's name may be made to the Ellenville First Aid and Rescue Squad, 1 Webster Avenue, Ellenville, NY 12428.
