Obituary of Sybil Cooper

Monticello, NY

Mrs. Sybil Cooper, a loving daughter, wife and mother passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Montgomery, NY. She was 85. The daughter of the late Herman and Mollie Krauser, Sybil was born on March 22,1937 in Monticello.

Sybil grew up, married, and raised a family in Monticello, NY. She served as Matron for the Eastern Stars in Monticello, NY. She loved playing mahjong, pinochle, and pokeno and was an avid knitter.  She and Allen traveled the country square dancing and seeing the sights.   

Survivors include her son, Mitchell Cooper and his wife Doreen, Robert Cooper and his wife Jo Ann, and Granddaughter Amanda Cooper. 

Sybil was pre-deceased by her parents and her beloved husband, Allen Cooper.

A family service will be held privately at the gravesite at the Glen Wild Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Montgomery Nursing Home, Braemar Living at Wallkill, and Garnet Health Medical Center for their care and kindness.
