Obituary of Annette Dishner

South Fallsburg, NY

Annette Dishner, a resident of South Fallsburg, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at home. She was 103 years old. The daughter of Albert and Libby Rosenthal, Annette Rosenthal Dishner was born on December 23, 1920, in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Annette is survived by her children: Stephen Dishner, Sheldon Dishner and Linda Fox, Albert and Linda Dishner. And by her grandchildren, Robert and Karen Dishner, Scott and Jenya Dishner, Chad Dishner, Rebecca and Corey Borg, Jack and Phoebe Dishner, Shira Aaron and Tanya Ofer. And by her great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Dishner, Julia Dishner, Henry Dishner, Jace Dishner, Sophie Dishner, Leo Borg, Rosie Borg, Samantha Ofer, Emma Ofer, Olivia Ofer, Drew Aaron and Remi Aaron.

 

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Julius Dishner of 61 years and by her brother, Harold Hale and her sister Mildred Feierman.

 

Annette Dishner was involved in many civic and religious organizations throughout her life, including the Senior Citizens Club, NYS Board of Elections and the So. Fallsburg Hebrew Association.

 

She lived 103 years being loved and blessed.

 

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701 with Rabbi Lawrence Zierler officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the South Fallsburg Hebrew Association Cemetery, Marsh Road, Glen Wild, NY.
