Obituary of Glenna Stieglitz

GLENNA POLEY STIEGLITZ SOUTH FALLSBURG, NY Glenna Poley Stieglitz, of South Fallsburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence. Glenna, the daughter of the late Richard and Ella Poley of Liberty, was born on September 15, 1947. Glenna was a graduate of Liberty High School and the State University of New York at Albany, and she also received a masters degree from the State University of New York at New Paltz. Glenna was an elementary and reading teacher in the Liberty school district, and prior to that, she taught at Benjamin Cosor Elementary School and Fallsburg Central High School. Survivors include her husband, Richard; a daughter and son-in-law, Jack and Mellen Genatt, of Melville, New York, and their two children, Dylan and Justin; a son, Richard Jr., of New York, New York; three sisters, Lynne Austin, Laurie Arliss, and Georgia Buckles, and their families; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides her immediate and extended family, Glenna also leaves behind hundreds of adoring students, beloved friends and colleagues, and her precious race horses. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers and food, donations may be made to the charity of the donors choice. Funeral arrangements by Joseph N.
