My Nanny was an amazing woman and the kindest person I knew. She was always prepared with chocolates and goodies for the grandkids' visits. She loved her kids more than anything and it was always amazing to see her light up when the grandbabies were in the room. She also had an awesome sense of humor and a very tasty potroast recipe :). I wish I could have been there to say my final goodbyes but I know that she is here with me more now than ever before. She will always be here to watch after us-- but now she has a much better view!

I just found this page now. The Drivers and y family , my later mother, late sister Melissa Gugig-Rennie and I were friends with the Drievers, They were a wonderful family and I have fond memories of Lia carting the kids to band practices throughout the county. She never complained or said I'm too tired. her home was always open to the her kids friend and my sister had her Sweet Sixteen party at their house. I would have been there but I was at college. Lia was such a warm and kindhearted, selfless person . I know she was loved and appreciated not just by her family but by her kids friends who felt comfortable and safe around Lia. many blessings to her children including Lynne and Pete who recently attended my late sister's memorial service. Many blessings, Debra Gugig-Bauer.
