Grandpa,
It has been almost two months since you passed and every day I have seen or heard something which has made me think of you and put a smile on my face. Family dinners are not even close to the same and no one is yet able to sit in your seat. Your presence and sense of humor will forever be missed.
Your outlook on life in your last few weeks has left an impact on me that will positively effect me every day going forward. Your "never give up" attitude, "family first" mindset and the belief you can do anything in any physical condition has given me motivation to work my hardest and achieve my biggest dreams while always remembering that nothing is more important than my family. I hope you are able to look down and feel proud of what I do with my life.
I will be thinking of you when shooting your rifle you promised to save for me. I hope one day I can be half as a good as shot as you were. You will be in all our minds when the family is together in the house you built. I promise that we will take good care of it.
Rest in peace grandpa. I love and miss you.

Dad
It took me almost 2 months to write this condolence and your tribute on this website. I did not want this screen to be blank if anyone looked at this in the future to see how people loved you and always will remember you.
As your son, you live on through me and my children and their ancestors for eternity. You were a big influence in all of our lives. Your sense of humor, even through troubled times was amazing, you kept the nurses laughing at all of your jokes when you were in the hospital during your last days. You always made us laugh and Cara still tells your jokes. So do I !! Your jokes will never die.
The day you spent with Elliot and Cara in the hospital your last week was amazing, we all will never forget how you were sick but you just kept us all laughing and smiling even though you were in pain. Even Irina my wife was laughing!! You told Cara it was a miracle that she got a job and will start working and told Elliot if he has his hands in his pants he is feeling cocky! This takes a very special person to joke when you are very ill and you were certainly one of a kind.
Your house and Mom's house in Swan Lake will be standing forever and stay in our family, its a very special house that you and mom built together. You and Mom loved this house and your great grandchildren are going to play there. It's a house in Swan Lake - Briscoe Road (grandpa Izzy's property) that I will live in for the rest of my life. We will do our best that it gets passed down from generation to generation. Grandpa Izzy will be proud as well that it stays in the family. I promised him when I was 25 that I would retire in Swan Lake on his property and in your house and I meant to keep my promises to Grandpa Izzy, Mom and you. He was very special to all of us, just like Arlene (Mom) was to all of us. Izzy gave me the property right after I told him I would retire on the property, I kept my promise to him and Clara (his wife).
Rest in peace Dad and we hope to be all be together again in the next life. Thanks for all the love and support you gave us throughout your life. "I will pay if forward". You live inside of us forever, you did not die.
Love and Miss you always,
Larry Goldman (son) and Family (Irina - wife, Elliot (Son) Cara (Daughter) ... 7/28/16
