Obituary of Gloria Rita Silverman Weiss

Gloria Rita Silverman Weiss a long-time Sullivan County resident, passed away on July 4, 2016, Independence Day, at Care One in Parsippany, NJ. She was 82. The daughter of the late Fay and Nathan Silverman, Gloria was born on August 26 1933, in Brooklyn. Gloria and husband Herbert Weiss (divorced) moved to Monticello, New York where they raised their two daughters Ilyce and Holly. Gloria was a Real Estate Broker in Sullivan County for over 30 Years and an integral part of the formation of the Sullivan County Multiple Listing Service. She was president of the Multiple Listing Service Board from 1998-1999. Cherished mother, treasured grandmother and great grandmother Gloria was a women of strength, constitution and spirit, her family was her greatest joy. Gloria was fortunate to have true and long lasting friendships and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Gloria is survived by her daughters Ilyce Brinn and Holly Roche, Son-in-Law Randall Roche, Grandsons Jeremy Nathan Brinn, Joshua Adam Brinn and his wife Ginger Harper, Granddaughter Madeline Faye Roche and Gloria’s new greatgrandson. Gloria’s extended family hold her memory with love and affection. Funeral services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Shiva will be observed at the Roche Residence, 84 Bronner Road, Bloomingburg, New York 12721. Visitors are welcome Wednesday July 6, 2016 & Thursday July 7, 2016 between 1:00 pm-4:00 pm and 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
