Obituary of Lila Maureen "Cookie" Knopf

Lila Maureen “Cookie” Knopf, 82 of Rock Hill, NY passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017. She was 82.

Cookie was born in the Bronx to Julius and Florence Levinson on June 29, 1935. She had a long career as a bookkeeper, first in New York City and later at Kutcher’s Country Club in Monticello. She had a deep love for animals of all kinds, a passion she shared with her daughter and grandchildren. Cookie and her sister Eileen were avid bingo players and could be found at their church game most Saturday nights.

Survivors include her two children, Leslie Knopf Caruso and Randy Knopf, three grandchildren: Jake and Giana Caruso and Piper Knopf, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Lila was pre-deceased in death by her husband, Fred Knopf, her parents, and her sister Eileen Milano.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 11:00am at the Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ with Rabbi Endre Stamler officiating.
