Marc, Nancy, Diane, Katja - I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was a special person in my life. Not only was she a cousin, but she was a terrific friend of my mom's. Growing up in Liberty and spending my childhood at Stier's Hotel, your mom could always be counted on to listen, share stories and laugh with us. Of course, when I used to sneak out of the hotel dining room during religious services to play the pin-ball machine, she never blinked an eye. She was one of my first employers - hiring me to babysit Marc and Nancy (hmmm.. talk about trust). Then she was my employer at Stier's during my waiter days in those wonderful late 60's/early 70's. When I wandered into the dining room to serve breakfast after spending the night at Woodstock, it was your mom who was the first person to ask if I had fun! In the more recent years, your mom learned to keep up with the family through Facebook and was ALWAYS interested in every aspect of our lives. She will be missed. Much love, Shel

Our family's thoughts are with you, Marc and Nancy, during this difficult time. A piece of our childhood has been chipped away too.
