My name is Susan Baum Schloss. Helen Kaplan was the sister of Harry Schloss, who was the father of my husband, Jerry (George). You have never met a sweeter, kinder, more loving person than Helen. She radiated sincerity and love. Jerry and I used to go to hotels in the Catskills, and many times invited her to dinner and a show there. She enjoyed it and was very appreciative. We also used to visit her in her home nearby, and she would give us her homemade blintzes. They were tiny; the outside of the blintz was all made by hand; the fillings were out of this world! She adored her son Bill, and had his photos covering a wall of her house. She also loved Jodi and her grandchildren, and was so happy she had them all. She had a cat that she loved very much, whom she called "Ketzeleh", which is the Jewish word for "Little Cat." In her later years she went on many bus trips all over with a group of friends. I will always miss her, and so will Jerry.
